Sex offenders are people who have committed a sex crime. The punishment and application of the law on sex crimes is determined by the culture and the legal jurisdiction of the city, state or country where the sex crime took place. Depending on the degree of the molestation, sex crimes have more or less convictions. There are different laws for the different sexual crimes but a violation of a law contained in a sexual category always results in sentence. Sexual crimes include but are not limited to second prostitution conviction, sexual assault, rape, child sexual abuse, sexual imposition or sexting. These are all considered as serious offences and will have serious consequences in a law procedure.

In many countries, if you have been convicted as a sexual offender you will be registered in the sex offender registry database, open to the public, for a lifetime to avoid repeating the crime in the future.
