Private Schools List

While most schools are operated, owned and funded by states and have thus a public nature, some schools run freely from the state or national governments (non-government schools) and fall under the classification of private schools. They are also called independent schools or nonstate schools. They often receive help from the government but they usually don’t rely on mandatory taxation funding. Private schools are funded by the fees or tuition that parents pay to have their children attend the school, although they might or not run other parallel businesses.

The purpose behind private school can come from different reasons: children with special needs, religious motifs (parochial schools), higher standards of education, and schools for non-children students or adults. Private schools offer the same level of education as public schools, thus going from the primary level, to secondary school (7 through 12 years old) and prep schools before applying for university or college studies.
