A trailer park is an area for mobile homes where residents can stay either permanently or semi-permanently. The reason behind the residents choosing to live in trailer parks rather than regular housing can vary from case to case but it is mainly related to low income or commodity. The costs of living in a trailer park are definitely lower than living in a house, but some people only choose this way of living because of the nature of their changing jobs (relocating).

The term campground has its origins the Latin word “campus”, which means field, and thus relates to an open space or field where people can live in either tents or campers. They are also known as campsites or camping pitches. There are two different types of campgrounds: overnight and longer stays. This is definitely a more temporary solution compared to trailer parks, but it is also possible to park mobile homes in campgrounds.
